Huge congrats to Donna Harding of Westridge in Washington state for back to back WINNERS DOG awards on Friday & Saturday for the very very handsome Westridge Fringe Benefit "Jordy" (Ch McMatt EZ Going x Ch Westridge Panache). Jordy is here in Michigan with the Halfmoon crew to be shown over the next couple of months and we are having a great time with him - a joy to live with and a real eye catcher in the ring. We are very happy that he picked up his first major win this past weekend!
And just 6 months after having her litter sired by the handsome Trip (ASCA/UKC Ch CopperHills Weekend Getaway) who we had a great time showing earlier this year, our sweet little Posh (Kaitan Halfmoon Indulgence) was WINNERS BITCH for a couple of points.
We are also just tickled with our babies out of Posh...they just turned 6 months old the previous weekend so we thought we'd get them out for some "real" show practice... young Wicked (Halfmoon Double Entendre) did a fantastic job on Saturday winning Reserve Winners Bitch to a 4 point major from the 6-9 month class.... and her littermate sister, Brick (Halfmoon She's A Brick House) was not to be outdone and was WINNERS BITCH from the 6-9 month class for a 3 point major on Sunday. This litter is turning out to be just stunning - very correct, great temperments, VERY happy, and man how these free stacking fools do love to SHOW!
Many thanks to our great friend Mary D for coming along and helping to show (and walk and play with and care for) the Halfmoon crew (and for all the work you've done with Wicked!) Couldn't have done it without you!!!

On Tuesday our young gal, Bliss (Halfmoon Establishment)  got an Award of Merit in the futurity (she was one of the final 8) and got a huge ribbon and a nice cash prize.  Bliss also won 4th place in her large sweepstakes class with another nice ribbon and some more pocket change!  and her mom, Envy (Ch Westridge Panache) also won a very nice 2nd place in the 7-10 year Veteran Sweepstakes class!

On Wednesday after getting up at 5am to give everyone a bath - AGAIN - ;-)  we showed our beautiful boy, Trip (ASCA Ch Copperhills Weekend Getaway) (co-owned with his fantastic breeder & our friend, Kathy Hubbard) to a very impressive 2nd place in the very large, deep with quality, Open Black class.  Trip has been with us the past couple of months and we are having a BLAST with this fantasic power house of a dog!  We can't thank Kathy enough for sharing him with us!

Also on Wednesday we showed Jones (Ch Inverness Smarty Jones) in the Open Blue class, which he won 1st place and went on to compete for the points - and end up winning Reserve Winners Dog which is such an impressive honor at a national specialty!

Also on Wednesday, after the exciting wins from the dog classes, we got the whole crew cleaned up and with some help from our fabulous friends, we showed Ms. Envy (handled by Chuck) along with her kids Chrome (Ch Halfmoon It's All Good)(handled by our friend & his owner Morgan), Belli (BIS, BISS AKC/ASCA Ch Halfmoon Embellishment)(handled by me), Switch(Halfmoon Turn On)(handled by our friend & his co-owner Anne) and Bliss(Halfmoon Establishment)(handled by our very good friend Mary D) in the large Brood Bitch class against some beautiful groups of moms & kids and Envy WON 1st place in the class based on the quality of her kids!  This is such a great honor and tribute to our foundation, Envy!  Thanks goes out to Donna Harding of Westridge Aussies for giving us such a wonderful gal who has produced some very very very awesome kids!!!

April 5-8, 2007 - Mary D & I had a great time on our road trip to Kansas!  We want to thank the GWASC for an awesome specialty.  And even though we survived the record low temps we did enjoy the rest of the Sunflower Cluster - it's always fun to catch up with other Aussies folks/breeders and to meet new friends!

Our baby Bliss (Halfmoon Establishment) won the Best in Sweepstakes at the Kansas specialty under breeder judge Terri Morgan.  We are tickled with our newest black tri girl who just continues to "establish" herself after her recent 4 point major from the puppy class at the big Chicago AKC shows at the end of Feb to be followed by back to back 4 point major wins at the big Cobo Hall AKC shows in Detroit in mid-March.
At 10.5 months old, with 3 very nice major wins, we really couldn't ask for more from this beaut!  ;-)

We are of course very happy that Gail & Erin's Jones (new Ch Inverness Smarty Jones) showed so beautifully in Kansas to pick up that final major to finish his championship with the help of Mary D & yet another very kind soul who took him back in for his BOW win.  Gail has been wonderful to let me show her beautiful boy at a handful of shows over the past 6 months.

On the Friday show in Kansas where Jonesy finished his championship, our newest adventure, the very handsome black tri "Trip" (ASCA Ch Copper Hills Weekend Getaway) was Reserve Winners Dog as well.  Trip also showed his heart out and won yet another RWD to a the major on Sunday in Kansas.  Trip & I hit the rings only a couple weekends ago at the ASCA shows in Dayton Ohio where he quickly finished his championship with 5 point majors.  Thank you Kathy for sending your boy to us!

And of course, ms Belli (BIS, BISS, AKC/ASCA Ch Halfmoon Embellishment), showed wonderfully in the Best of Breed ring, in the company of many of the top Aussies in the country - we are ALWAYS thrilled to be able to show her off! We are catching our breath and then will be heading back to St. Louis in a couple weeks for the USASA nationals!  See you all there!!

March 24/25, 2007... many thanks to the wonderful Kathy @ Copper Hills aussies for letting her absolutely stunning black tri boy "Trip" come visit us in Michigan for the next couple of months. Trip & I went to the ASCA show in Dayton Ohio this
